Think I know the answer, but going to ask the question anyway, :-\
Is there any quick way of filling an empty LPG tank remotely (as in the car is off the road), ie from another LPG Car or tank?
Guessing if there is, it would need to be regulated somehow?.
Edit: forgot to mention, it doesn't run on Petrol. :(

I have seen calor gas bottles with diy gas fitting contraptions fitted on top, outside my local approved fitters premises.
How that works, and what's involved I don't know.
Not straight forward in any event. :-\

Not really

Yes I've heard of similar things. Sounds pretty dodgy to me! :-\

Ok, thanks all, that's what I thought, how about this, remove tank, temp install in another LPG Car, fill and re fit, or am I missing something?
:-\ :-\ :-\

A tad pricey for a one off, but these are the sort thing you need! :)

Thanks, as you say a bit price'y, dont really wont to spend that sort of sheckies as its not my car (yet). just need to get it running to see if its worth pursuing. ;)

If it won't run on petrol, what makes you so sure that it will run on gas :-\

Hear say, from what the guy said, he used to run on gas all the time, before it run out, think its a typical 'Ive let my Peteol run low, whilst runing on LPG' and burnt the fuel pump out, its a BM, and Im told its got twin Patrol Tanks which equalise using pumps etc, anyway dont want to get involved on that side yet, just want to see if it will run on gas. ;)
-
If a BMW then it will have 2 low points to the petrol tank and a pump to equalise. If you want to use one of those DIY transfer pumps I would advise fitting an inline, liquid phase filter as the insides of those cylinders can be full of crap and when you invert it to get liquid over it all goes into your system ::)
Not worth the hassle IMO.

Tow the car to an lpg station..? Or is it not road legal?
If swapping tanks, the full one will be heavy, and needs to be the same single or four hole fittings etc...?

Tax, MOT and Insurance is all out, so dont want take the chance. Did think about booking it in for a MOT, then A Frame it to the nearest Lpg about 4 miles away, but there on the ball around here, if you know what I mean. :-\

If they're that hot on it you may have to trailer it :(
-
I can get the Car Insured and on AskMID within 24 hours, through my Traders Policy, so thats the important one out of the way, just not 100% sure about A framing a Car to an LPG Fill up prior to a pre booked MOT ? :-\, and then finding may be it does'nt run on LPG anyway.
Starting to think its all a bit of a non starter tbh, or maybe take a gamble and fix the Petrol side of things first as a freebie. :( and going from there.
