Title: Hello Omega owners
Post by: dawidski on 02 September 2013, 03:51:11
Hello every one! I'm Dawid, 18 years old and in love with vauxhall omegas  :P My dad has a 52 plate omega 2.2 dti, few years ago he had a 98' 2.5 v6 and few years before that a carlton estate (called omega in Poland where I lived until I was 11). Now that I have my licence I'm looking for an omega v6 with a manual box but it seems impossible to find one near me  :-\ If someone is selling such a thing I would appreciate an e-mail from you, I live in Arbroath and I'd be willing to travel 100 miles to see the car, but I can only see it on a Sunday.
I drive a Fiat seicento   :D total pocket rocket, but it's just too small for me  :-\ and has FWD  :(
My dream car is a Lotus carlton  ;)
I'm not really sure what more I can say about my self other than I'll be visiting this forum often if I buy an omega.  ;D

Welcome to the site.

I can imagine insurance premiums being pretty high for you, considering your age  :'(.  That is one advantage of not being a teenager any more ;D

You'd be surprised. Aviva will insure a v6 omega for about 2000 fully comp  :D A 2.2 omega, less power so less likely I would crash it 2600  :( Insurance is weird so I'm taking advantage of that. All my (more wealthy) mates drive cars like 106 gti, corsa sri, saxo vts and generally boy racer cars which cost like 4,5 grand to insure and mostly have under 160hp. Omega - (3.0) 200hp so yeah would rather drive something out of the ordinary  8) .

Haha very true and they look expensive to people who know nothing about cars, my mates thought my dad's omega cost 5grand  ;D and its like the lowest spec so imagine what people think when you got an elite or mv6 in a good nick with a good color like black.  8)
