So the rear metal brake pipe that leads from the join with the rubber hose/clip, to the rear caliper is badly corroded & leaking. I've found on eBay a couple of complete units to replace:

This one states right side? But cannot find a left one ::)

Rang Vx, (after telling them my reg (X bla bla reply was "Crikey that's old"!!!) they state you can only by brake pipe as a roll of pipe? Not a complete unit for the rear, it's £3.40 odd + vat from the dealer, per meter. Although not to sure I could bend it to fit, I'd have to get some pipe bending tools + fittings :-\

Easiest way by far is to let a local friendly garage make a pipe from kunifer with new ends,shouldn't cost more than a tenner and then you can fit and bleed it yourself :y

Cheaper than eBay's price then!
I'll ring my MOT guy as it's due anyway in couple of weeks. Will call him for a quote :)

If you clamp off the rear flexy hose it will be safe(ish) to drive to said garage without pissing out all its fluid :y

Buy the kit with good pipe and fittings and then make your own, its useful to have in the toolbax (I use bits of brake pipe for making all sorts of stuff!)

Thanks Mark, i'd be very up for doing this as given space looks straight forward to do. Looks like I need a kit like this?

What would you recommend for fittings?
MOT has snuck up on me, might have to get leaking side done by guy in town, then replace the other side myself as that needs to be changed as well.

They work pretty well and can also be used on the car, can be got cheaper than that thoguh, in the order of 10-12 quid.
Kunifer is the preferred brake pipe, I note you can get a 25ft reel with fittings for around 17 pounds delivered. Its useful having the male and femal fittings as you can join pipes then (easier than replacing front to rear runs!)

The kit you showed works. But it is very tricky to get consistent, usable results. Lots of practice is required, as is close examination of the produced flare. You must cut the end square, and deburr bother edges. I use a small wheel type cutter that you twist around the pipe, as it's quicker and easier than using a hacksaw, plus it guarantees that the cut is square. I've seen them in both Machine Mart and B&Q for a few quid.
If you're feeling flush, check out Automec's website, their flaring tool is almost as good as the expensive Sykes ones that garages use. It's about a third of the price. You definitely want the small bending tool; it looks hopeless, but effortlessly puts tight bends right up to the end of a pipe. It's much better than bending the pipe around a broom handle.
Buy both the pipe and fittings from a motor factor; a coil of Kunifer is about a tenner, and the fittings are a few pence each. Get several of both male and female. You'll need metric ones.
When making pipes, get in the habit of sliding the fitting onto the pipe just before forming the flare. But you will still forget sometimes, everybody does!

I'll second the above... I've used a decent kit and bought a cheap one when funds were tight... It was a right PITA ::) Wish I'd paid a touch more for a decent, branded tool

Cheers all, think I'll have a bash on the other not so damaged side in the coming weeks. Due to its current state i'll have to get my local guy to do it with MOT, then it's move-able again. I can attempt the other side myself :)

Most important thing is to remember the replacement pipe should be the same length as the original :y
