Been a few years since I played with one on these on a desk, will it power up without the paired screen, need to recover the disks, so in theory just stuff 12V in the back of it, or do I need Ing. sense as well?, if so which pin for sense as dont a loom handy, thanks Chris.

Oh, just to add its from a Vectra C, hence why I didn't want to plug into a Mig loom, so thinking it may need to see canbus signal from somewhere as well as the screen, ???

In the back of my mind I seem to recall some restriction if its not paired - beyond the annoying noises. Maybe it doesn't eject.
However, you will do not harm by trying :)

It will eject the four disc cartridge but I seem to recall you have to hold the eject button down for a longer period of time.

Ok, thanks, just put 12v on the back pins, 12v and Ground, nothing, no power response, no noises, no lights, dead. Which pin is the Ing. Sense? and should it need it?. Sorry no loom to hand.

Yes it needs it, its the pin above the Ground Pin. :y

Yep, the back of your mind was correct, powers up, makes ticking noises, recycles the 4 Disk changer a few times then shuts down, doesn't eject. :(

Thanks but nope, wont eject, if I held me finger on the eject button any longer it would have eventually fused to my finger.
Managed to get the Sat Nav Disk out by taking the top cover off, fiddly, which is the main disk I wanted, would have been nice to recover the CD's but not really that bothered. ;)

Don't recall that ever happening on any I've worked on. :-\

Maybe its furbed then, which would be at bit of a shame as its in a box with its screen sitting in the sorting office on its way to the new owner. :(
