Title: MPG
Post by: Dr Jones on 25 May 2008, 23:29:25
Hi all

Just wondering...what is the best MPG you've ever got from a 2.5 TD?

Went on a run to Cardiff at the weekend (took the little one to the Doctor Who musuem - loved it!) and got 40 MPG out of it - unheard of for an Omega as far as I know...

Anyone ever beaten this? Drove like a Saint all the way there and back!

Was talking to Laird of Lochaber today at the J.O 6.

His trip comp stated 51.4 ave, after a run down from Dundee.

When I drove down to cornwall last year for a holiday my car did 36mpg average on the way down (300 miles or so) and it was just set to 70 on cruise with A/C on.

I should imagine that a diesel should be able to get a fair bit more in the best circumstances...
