Post by: BazaJT on 07 September 2013, 19:34:47
Don't know if anyone else on here follows it,but we have a potential world champion in the form of Tai Woffinden.Who's he?Well he's a Brit who has-among others-ridden for SLady bitshorpe Scorpions a Speedway team and he's now obviously on the world stage and doing rather well at it too!!

I used to watch a little speedway in my youth......Good entertainment. :y

As an aside......I believe that back in the mists of time, Kevin Keegan once played for SLady bitshorpe. :y

Apparently-so I'm told-Kevin Keegan,Ian Botham and Ray Clemence played for The Iron at one time or another. Also who can forget the advert for petrol tokens "twenty Four Toasters From SLady bitshorpe"?Indeed EMD the grid girls are a very important feature of the meetings!!Meanwhile Tai is now twenty points clear with just three more rounds remaining.
