Title: Fixing a washing machine
Post by: TheBoy on 09 September 2013, 08:48:07
Thats sprung a leak. It is possible with virtually no tools.

Why do things always break at the most inconvenient time? Fingers crossed at the dishwasher doesn't play up, as that needs jacks and axle stands ;D

It is indeed TB, providing it is a blocked filter/ water pump ( common problems that people overlook) or simply a loose clip on a hose which  can be tightened using a dinner knife! :D :D :D ;)

If the door seal has split, only a new one will do! :)

It's not always how clever you are. I fixed our washer a few times due to various niggley faults, but the last time it failed ...... it went!  :y :y

If that was aimed at me, cheers, but we'll keep old trusty. Mainly because as its so complicated to use, I'm banned from touching it :D

Every button I press just results in 3 beeps, and Err on display.  Its beyond a simpleton like me.

In the old days, machines had a knob that you turned to D and pulled out.

Get your mates round, get pissed and chuck a concrete block in it on the spin cycle!  :)

I've always fancied doing that!  :y

Modern machines won't have it. They continually try to balance the load. I've got pissed off with mine a couple of times and stopped it to redistribute the wifes underwear washing inside.
