Not at all, as said elsewhere, they're worth alot more to us owners.
The used car market though....
-
Nice clean example by looks of it.

It does ....... but not at that price ::) Maybe he'll knock the price of a Car Pass off ;D ;D ;D

Personally, IF its as good as it looks I'd probably pay around the £900 max, Even has both HID washer jets ;D

£1800 with the far superior non rusty facelift doors fitted and painted in the correct colour ::)

In that case, I'll put my car up for sale for a grand. I have its car pass, both headlamp washer are present, no warning lights at all & never have been ....... the only thing that's slightly suspect is the radio amp - the radio crackles with the HRW on :y :y
But it's a saloon ;)

That's a plus in my book, Not overly keen on the Estate's.. Don't get me wrong they're ideal work horses, Just that the Saloon feels more snug and a huge boot :y

If only they'd moved the radio amp from under the parcel shelf, then you'd get your suit cases in ....... I wouldn't mind as much if the amp actually filled the enclosure, but it only takes up 1/3 of it. I'm sure it could have gone somewhere near the jack or in 1st aid kit cubby :-\

Looks pretty good to me, great colour and everything seems to have been done, and a pre face lift but what is that on the transmission tunnel in the rear?
If I were looking for one, that would interest me, not bothered about the reg plate, depends on what offer he would take........ ;) ;)

I believe the transmission tunnel was the original fitting place for the sat nav, it was later moved to the roof in the back.

This one is close to us, about 10 miles away. I put in an offer that was rejected.
Needless to say it fell well short of the asking price. :)

Bloody hell, Andy........Good guess.
I offered £400 because it came with tax. :y
I didn't actually see the car, but for £400 I thought 'what the hell'.... :y
-
..... six months tax in fact.
Maybe I should have pushed the boat out and offered £425.

From pictures at least, very, very clean example. How many sub 80k Omega's are left? Not many...
If it turns out as good as it shows from pictures its worth a good amount, not sure i'd pay that through.

At the end of the day, in the next few years these cars are going to be for the Omega enthusiasts only.
If as said, its as good as it sounds then someone will pay up for it :y

If I had no Omega's personally I'd pay up to £1.2k ish for that, as most other Elite Estates of that age are rusty sheds.
That said no doubt it would still need new belt/tensionsors, wishbones, geo session to start with.
I much prefer pre-facelift Elite cloth though

......
But is a low mileage car any better than a well looked after higher mileage car? At 80k it might just be ready for its 4th oil change if it's had a 'FDSH' ::)

Very valid point, have to have a good nose over it.
Rust wise underneath my 145k 3.2 is better than someones 60k 3.2 ::)

They are having a big laugh..... taking the you know what.
My 2001 elite 2.6 way only £900....and that was in my opinion a bargain..
Some people are big dreamers.....lmfao
-
any item is worth whatever someone willing to spend ;) people out there will spend £3000 on a bbq-thats a fact-my old man makes them ;D ;D so somebody will buy that mig-even if over priced-I sold a car for£1000 -didnt do anything except use it for 3 months then sold it for £2300 :y :y
-
True....
Done it myself to be Honest....
Bit over the top though...... a grand is a optimistic price but £1800..... even that is a coke sniffer high..
-
I bought a honda c90 7 years ago for £120.Non runner.. left it in the garden to go rotten for 7 years then sold it on the bay this year for over £400. once i decided to get it running ;D ;D ;D
-
Offer still pending a response from the seller.
Fingers crossed he'll accept. :y
I suppose it all depends if he lives in the real world or not.

Just over two hours left with only one offer (mine), which has been rejected.
This guy must spend a fortune on E-Bay fees.

Wow! A whole £145 off ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wont bid again, it seems like a waste of time. :( My idea of a sensible offer is obviously a million miles from that of the seller.
How much does it cost to list the ad?

Its one of seven cars listed by this seller, and all the write ups infer that the car being sold is his personnel car - and he says he's a shift worker - sells a lot of cars though with good feedback.
