I'm referring to the VC10,which is being retired-has been retired?-I recall these being introduced and thinking what a stunning looking aircraft it was at the time, what with it's high set tail plane[as with the Victor V-bomber]and it's four engines twinned on the rear fuselage,ah well such is progress I suppose.

Last operational flight yesterday, two more flights next week as they fly to museums .. Bruntingthorpe and Dunsfold I think ??
Lifted from another site, all compliments and credits to there ..
47 years and 2 months after the first airplane was delivered to the Royal Air Force, the last ever VC-10 operational flights from RAF Brize Norton took place today 20 Sept 2013

Jolly Good Show by the boys and girls at 101 Squadron
Flew in her many times as the "gozomey bird", plugged in many times for some extra "go juice" when she became a tanker, but never actually operated her... Certainly deserved the accolade "Queen of the Skies"

Judging by the amount of smoke they were kicking out in a couple of those photos, those old girls must have a few miles under their belts!! ::) Maybe the rings are a bit worn! :-\ ;)
On a serious note I'm sure there were a few sneaky tears shed at the end! :'(
