Title: Fault code Help Please
Post by: Figureman52 on 25 September 2013, 12:05:31
Finally finished changing the oil cooler today.

Filled the oil and water in the rain.

On starting the engine both the spanner and TC lights remained on. Left the engine running for about 5 minutes to circulate water and check for leaks.

Stopped the engine, restarted and the lights went out! Although tickover seemed a bit lumpy for a while but it did rev ok.

Did the pedel trick and got the following codes.

0120
0220
1700

Haven't checked for codes for quite a while so not really sure if I could have caused something whilst working on the car.

I have looked up the meanings and am not really sure what action to take.

Rather hoping that a drop of rain might have got into something and it will dry out and sort itself.

Any advice would be welcomed. :)

The first two relate to throttle position.
The third one is probably the auto box having a wobbly, as a result of the first two

The cause? DBW (drive by wire) connector not properly home at the front underside of the plenum :y

Unplugged and reconnected, all seems OK now.

Thanks James. :y :y
