Title: 2013 Bonfire Bash
Post by: Seth on 02 October 2013, 23:34:40
Following last year's somewhat traumatic (for some) dramatic affair, is anyone interested in attending another entertaining event? :o

Got a great venue sorted ... honest!
There's 5-star en-suite accommodation with Sky/WiFi/Bar and all-weather EHU-equipped pitches for campers/caravanners. ::)

Anyone ... ? 8)

Need to increase the strength of that ale concoction of yours a wee bit though ... kinda 'get 'em under the table' stuff ... get the picture? ;)

No need Al.

I'll have it all under control ... last year's shindig was something of a ... learning curve.
Lessons have been learnt ::)

Gawd no man 8)

Any chance that you could sort some kinda computerised ignition system for da fireworks?
Am asking 'cos that Mikhail sort's comrade buddy ... think his name is "Scud" ... from Vladivostok ... reckons that he can supply the necessary pyrotechnic 'equipment'  Ideally, they need someone who knows his stuff with Powerpoint, and 'you're da man' in this field ... IMO.

D'ya want me to forge the link with our Eastern Bloc buddies? ::)

Powerpoint
Office self-abuser's tool. Ask that Fuse18 fella, he's good with Microsoft office tosser software.

As to the wiring and explosives, I'm sure DTM and I can interface that all together as well as the Ruski Mafia.

Right 'en ... I'll get things movin' a bit sharpish :y

Having some grub with 'em down the Bomb Bay Tandoori tomorrow evening - Raj has got some sorta Vodka promotion 'appenin' so I'll get the arrangements finalised before we get a table.

It's the same establishment that we got that takeaway from, when you and Mrs TB stayed-over during the aftermath of last year's devastation whilst we recovered from that Lazydocker character's overpowering attempts at remodelling the local nick :-[

Can't see any problems, so'll let you know how the bender meeting pans out. ;)

Can I stick you doon for a family suite?

And ya can bring all 'em old tyres with ya too ... free disposal facilities on-site! 8)

Be patient Vamps ...
You can have a go in the Green Goddess in a mo ... will soon have it brimmed with Lazydocker's recycled fuel petrol. Very good of him to assist our plight ...  ::)

Yep! :y

Shouldn't be long now. This 'Scud' character's fine-tuning the launch pad display area, though he seems a bit unsteady on his feet after this afternoon's 'session' on the Ruski sauce alco-pops. ???

Once Vamps gets back with the Green Goddess, things should really go off with a bang ... I suppose :o

You ain't kiddin' ...  :o

That red-tipped missile rocket ... the one that Boris man-handled got from the crate wooden box with some strange-looking lettering on the top ... didn't half make a din as it flew past us.
Thought that these things were supposed to fly vertically, not at a near-horizontal angle. Still, there was a helluva explosion bang in the distance soon after ... with a yellow-ish glow following that ... and then ... seemingly dozens of blue flashing lights ... and finally ... total disbelief silence ::)

Think we need to get Scud to alter the launching technique a bit sharpish ...
Come to think of it, I never saw him lighting the blue touch-paper ... fireworks always have blue touch-paper ... don't they? :-[

If this turns out like the aftermath of last year's shindig Vamps, I'm sure that the Admins will pull the plug on ya this time for sure. You sure that you risk-assessed things? ... could've sworn that you told me you had it all in hand ... 8)

Of course I did a full risk assessment, old skool mind, like you said... :y     Is it raining? nope, are we in a big field? yep, is there a Calor Gas depot near by? not that close, LD said his fuel was a safe distance and it's not my fault they built all those houses there..... ::) ::)  Anyway, you can't blame me, I missed it all playing with the firemen....... ;) ;)

Ultimately you are responsible for passing the Buck to the Admins, they are in charge after all..... :-X :-X
