Wipers stop position has moved to half way up the window. Have seen this before but this time the arms range is perfect. Doesnt go to low or too high up the window....... just stops half way up window then on its next movement finishes its travel to the bottom of window.
Arms motor or relay?

The arm on the motor has moved. ;)

Is it fixable or would it just delay the inevitability of replacing it??

It needs the nut on the arm slackening completely, the arm lining up properly & retightening. The whole wiper mech is held in place with 4 long hex headed self tappers, remove it as a whole so you can see what you'e doing and adjust the arm. Be careful of the paint on top of your driver's wing when you remove it all. :y

Had the same on the Estate not so long ago - look at Robs howto linked above - most helpful :y :y
You don't need to remove the wiper mechanism to do this (Robs pics clearly show positions), just the wipers and the scuttle. Quick job 20 mins shouls easily see it done :y

Happy days. Thought it would have been a new mechanism jobie so being the miserable swine that I am this fix suits me just fine lol :y :y

Remember this is a Vauxhall Omega site, and any technical solutions in the Omega sections are for Omegas (or Cadillac Cateras in the USA). Unlikely this will be a solution for a Fiat Abarth ;)
