Title: Remote locking
Post by: ronnyd on 03 October 2013, 15:17:09
Locking, locks rear doors and pass. door then they unlock straight away. Unlocking, it unlocks all except drivers
door , for which i have to use key in lock. All doors lock/ unlock with key manually in lock. Have tried to
re-synchronize as per the owners manual but nothing happens. Had power sounder disconnected yesterday but
i presume this is coincidence? as i had same prob a few weeks ago but it sorted itself almost immediately.
Any suggestions folks? ???

Driver's door locking mechanism is partially siezed. Lub it up with a proper lub eg chain oil .... it's sticky & stays where you sprayed it.

Also worth checking that your Ing. Barrel fully pops out when removing the key, as that can cause strange lock up issues.

Chris ;)

Just a quick one
When you say chain lube what sort of  do you mean
Also do you just squirt it in the keyhole
Thank you

Chain lub for motorcycle chains ..... it tends to stay where you sprayed it, something like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1311.R1.TR10.TRC0.A0.Xchain+lu&_nkw=chain+lube&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Unfortunately it's not quite that easy  ;) You'll need to remove the door card & the polythene membrane behind it. Spray/lubricate anything that moves or is supposed between the lock and interior & exterior door handle.  :y
