Title: TV - 4K
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 05 October 2013, 15:35:20
Just had a nosy to see whats on offer as I fancied a bigger TV, Hadn't realised 4K sets were on sale yet

Prices are high, but then so were the 1st video players.

4 times the resoloution, well thats going to be fun, Sky still want to charge for HD, wonder what they would charge for 4K (if they offered it)

So where's it all going to end

Sky still don't have the bandwidth for a proper 5.1 soundtrack, you'll more than likely be dead of natural causes before we see 4K out of them.

OK, I accept that Media Center has probably the best upscaler out there, but as Mrs TB cannot tell the difference between a DVD and a full 1080p film, I'm guessing we'll be at 1080p for a while ;D

Go on buy it, we need folk like you to keep consuming to keep the capitalism thing thriving. :y

PS can I have your old outdated TV to replace my CRT bought in 1992? ;D

Hd is awesome, I love it. More more more. :)

But where does the law of diminishing returns kick in? Sd to Hd was remarkable IMO. I can't see 4k making the same leap in quality. But then I said that about DVD to blu ray.

Until I saw it for myself. Need a demo.
