For the first time in 13 yrs there is a British world champion in speedway.Tai Wooffinden took the title in last nights final round from Poland.He won it in the second heat of the evening pipping the Polish rider hampel to the title,this despite having broken his collar bone a fortnight ago[which was already plated but not healed from an earlier breakage!]So he's not had a bad year as he's British champion,world champion and only missed out on being European champion[a title chase he was leading]when he had to pull out of the final round of that championship due to the aforementioned collar bone injury.Well done that man!!

Sam Lowes has also just won the World Supersport Championship. :).....Just need Sykes to finish the job in WSB now and we will have three Britsh Motorcycle world champions this year. :y :y
