Title: TV change
Post by: pscocoa on 06 October 2013, 13:33:42
Old Panasonic plasma is getting tired. The Sony W8 looks very good maybe better than equivalent Panasonic. Full HD etc.

Any feedback on w8 appreciated

7 years but sort of pink shadow appears around body shapes - not massive problem but also picture nowhere as sharp as new sets.

We have a Panasonic 42 inch Plasma. I  tend to agree with you about picture sharpness compared with an LCD. :y

A Plasma setup will age in a similar way to a tube (as they are effectively the same type of tech).

The fact its going blurry hints at a non-screen issue though (guessing noise on signal feed internaly potentialy due to a dying cap in the power supply)
