Manualed the auto slug when I 1st got it a year ago. Anyways the linkage is a little sloppy not really bad or tricky to get into gears. Id like to have it nice and crisp, just a wee luxury thwt would put a big smile on my face. Anyways is there a bush kit to sort this on flea bay or is it a vauxhall parts depot job? Also its a 2.5td is all manuals the same linkage or is there different ones for different boxes to suit other engines?

I would think there is plenty of scope to improve the manual Victorian signal box linkage. Its prety poor to drive with, along with the considerable clutch pedal travel. :(
Interesting to see if there's a helpful solution. :)

Shit. Not the answer I was looking for. Lol I wanted a fleabay link to a nice prepackaged thing.
Ah well mini project for the winter. Get another linkage and cut n shut it is lol

Having owned one manual Omega, I don't lust after a second.
The gearbox from a 1950's bus would be superior.

As you know, I disagree to, the ones I had were always tight and precise, a pretty nice box to use.
I think you lot woth sludge pumps have forgotten how to use a manual

OI! I'll have you know I like a manual. Just not the Omega ones. Yuk ;D.
I need to buy a small manual shitbox, as I'm getting even more bored of driving than normal since writing off her last manual :'(

As per the fuse guide 'autobox for the infirm'
And regarding the original post, the coupling is VERY simple on the manual with only realy one item that can wear in reality which is a nylon type block accesable under the car
