Go for an upgraded ecu chip rather than a box,if your car is an auto then a gearbox upgrade will be needed as well as the standard AR25 won't last long with the torque increased.

Tuning box is a waste of time (and actually a bodge). Get a decent chip.

Omegatoy and I can advise, based on what you currently have.  Note, some of the ebay ones are shockingly shite (and some very good - its a pot luck games there)

When we use to race the BM 325 TDSE you could remap them comfortable to 185 BHP, and at a push by upgrading the Turbo, Boost pressure and Exhaust get the up to to just under 200 BHP but they wouldn't last very long.

id be happy out with 185bhp for the moment she is going drifting so that power would do till I can find a cheap mv6.....:P

I will also be putting a straight through exhaust and front mount as well :)

Doubt whether you get 185 Bhp from an Omega TD, they where detuned over the original BM 2.5TD lumps, plus the BM SE flavour also left the Factory with a few ponies than the standard BM 2.5TDs

I think the engine is too fragile for that level of power. But as a track car, its not that important if it breaks, as it'll be towed home anyway.

I think the chips that Terry the chipman does are all iro 150ish.  A bit of turbo tweaking (but not too much!) and bloody good servicing and having a permenent fan on the intercooler, you should be in that area.

Bin that bloody viscous though, useless PoS.

If its a daily runner, or is used to travel to/from drifting events, I'm not sure I'd take it much beyond BMW spec of 150ish bhp. Did I mention its a fragile engine? And it tends not to break slightly, it breaks properly ;D

Alot of effort for little gain :-\

What you actually need is a V6, some partworn shit chinese tyres and a very heavy right foot :y

Remember that well, super clean in there for a what, 140k old tank?

I remember it being very light, no bother for me, which means it is practically nothing weight wise  ;D ;D ;D ;D

It's plastic, so nothing to it.
