So if I cut off the awning feed strip from my old awning, give it a good waterproofing, it should do the same job ?????? :)

I wonder... If both ends of a long enough one of those was attached to a steak at a cliff edge, one each side, and the pikey box towed away which then suddenly somehow became accidentally on purpose loose from its tow hook... How far would it fly?

Caravan catapults. Brilliant idea :y

Or would it just get ripped off its wheels first?
<pikey voice on>"what do I want the wheels for? They've got no rather caravan" <pikey voice off> :D

Some testing I think, before we can recommend those to members AA ;D

Don't think it would be rigid enough.

Unless its a synthetic rubber then its not good as it wont withstand the sunlight well and will degrade

People appear to suggest it's silicone?

He has an exclusion zone you know, or was it a blast radius?  I'd keep clear tbh. ;)
