I passed Vauxhall Luton on the way up to Hitchen this morning, I recollect many moons ago, this was the home of the Vectra. Now its the home of the Vivaro, not my favorite van ;D. I know all the boffins on here probably know this but not yours trully. Where is the home of the Omega, is there one? :-[

Correct, thats where every single one was built, including the Catera variants.

However, ALL Omega V6 petrol engines were made in Ellesmere port & shipped to Germany for "marriage" into the rest of the car. So, the majority of the cars will have a major British component.
Other British parts include the electric window mechanisms and seatbelts which were made (by GM) in Belfast.

Armoured Omega s did nt have electric windows, well at least the ones in Belfast didnt ;D ;D
