What's wrong with the original one :-\
-
Yep, the original one just needs a single bolt in the centre of the battery. To fit that one, you'll need to hack some extra holes in the inner wing.
As said, what's up with the original? If it's missing, just get someone to send you one from a breaker. :y

I think you might need a hole in the bonnet too to clear the front tie bar ....... ::) ::) ::) ::)

If the bolts snapped just drill it out put new bolt in , lost the bracket ..plenty at breakers or make one hillbilly style :)

Got a spare clamp here if you need one Webby

+1 or a large custom "bent" washer if no bracket ;)

Thanks guys. Omegod you have pm :)
With the hell frauds one you may laugh but I could run a die down it if needed extra threads and hacksaw the tops off if they're too long :)

I have the same problem. Still got the plate fortunately. The M8 bolt snapped. I plan to drill and tap it out. Should be easy enough to make a clamp plate with a piece of spare steel and a hacksaw?
-
Just done it... Turned the snapped stub of the screw clockwise from underneath... Out it came! :y

Must be a common problem my bolt snapped off so I drilled it out and used a nut and bolt
-
Its common due to some not using a wipe of grease on them (including the Krouts in the factory)

My Astra G was the same, though the battery tray on those is plastic.
