Title: OOF courier service offered
Post by: bigegg on 22 October 2013, 23:02:25: I will be driving from Leeds to Dumfries&Galloway on Thursday, up the M1>A1>ScotCorner>a66>M6>A75, then back same way, same afternoon.
I could detour via m6>M62>M60>M62.
Going up in the Lexus with welding gear in the boot, but back seat will likely be empty.
Not a huge amount of room, and I don't want to be carrying oily parts, but if anyone has anything they want moving in that sort of direction, let me know ASAP

No, but since I left my sun roof open yesterday :-[, I can bring you some rain ::)

Spent all afternoon in Dumfries, red hot blazing sunshine, blue sky overhead.
I even saw a butterfly.

Call that bluddy Scotland!!???!!!

Took my cold weather welding gear - I was sodden through to skin with sweat by the time I'd finished.
Then I let mrsEgg drive home along the A66 (in the dark).
She hit the kerb at about 50mph when some dick went past us at about 100mph and chopped us up >:(
*love* changing tyres on unlit busy country A roads.
Up on ramps tomorrow to check she hasn't knacked the steering.
Forced her to get back in car and carry on driving tho - even shaking like a leaf.

TBH, I was doing the 5p-50p bum dance til we got to Scotch Corner and I took over for the motorway bit
