Where's the best place to buy from? Any pattern recommendations?
VX non stock and £78 + Vat :-\
-
Mine was from AndyC and a lot cheaper than that on TC IIRC.. unless they have gone up?
-
Hmmm :-\ that was/is full retail...
-
last time Daz was down doing on of my Cam Belts, had to go and get one on the quick, so it was from the local Factors, £50 odd quid retail, and after moaning walked out with it for £35 inc Vat trade. ;)

Elite pete recommended a brand to me,who apparently supply them to GM. Cant quite remember the name. Maybe Mahle or similar ?
Might be worth asking Pete. I used genuine GM when I did my own car,but got it at a one off bargain price at the time.

I used one of these on advise from forum admin about 18 months ago...251346508408...and it has served me well since.
Even the housing was the correct thickness so no need messing about with cutting bolts although unsure if 3.2 housings are sligthly different thickness from my 2.5

Got mine from Vauxworld. Made by Wahler, who clearly were the original supplier. It was identical to the GM part I removed, including the casting flash, part number and someone had made a very half-hearted effort to remove the GM logo.
Under £20 delivered.

Thanks all :y
The Vauxworld p/n ( 90502201 )is different to the one given by the dealer (55353492) ::) possibly due to being a later engine :-\
Have put the part number given into Google, which led me to a GM dealer in Florida, $67 (£47) including tax and post, which is, I think, a fair price for a genuine one...
-
Wahler are indeed one of the (two) original suppliers.....each supplier has a different thickness flange (and hence the issues we see with bolt length sometimes).
For me, the Wahler ones appear better and have a much better housing to block seal setup on them
Edit, checked my notes and Motorad are the other supplier (adn the ones with the thinner flange)

Any views on AC Delco :-\

Had one from another supplier was a wahle one,no differences between, this and a genuine, just the GM number had been sanded off the wahle part. Came with o ring.
note new o rings for transfer pipe as well. :)

Can't argue with that :)
Think I paid £50 ish for my 2.6 one from Vx earlier this year.

I think you will find Wahler much cheaper :y

Price I have for a complete kit (including bolts just in case) about £55+VAT

I paid £18 for genuine stat/ housing from a VX dealer last year. Already had a spare transfer pipe, but luckily I didn't need it. :)
