Hi all this is my first post, so here goes. my central locking was not working , I found a remedy which said . move key to 2nd notch in ignition then press lock on remote fob. All doors locked then unlocked and . Excellent says I. The next day I had to perform this procedure again. It seems to reset fine , but when left over night I have to reset the remote fob. So relay or key fob at fault. Cheers Ps this is a 97 GLS

Welcome to the forum.
The battery holder coming loose from the pcb in the fob is known problem ..... sounds like that could be your fault. Dismantle the fob & check the battyer holder. :y
