I have changed my ABS ecu and now everything fine. However I want to get the lid off the ecu so I can get to the electronics. I can't find any screws or anything which holds the lid on apart from a security screw down inside the coils. Has any one had this thing apart and give me some idea how the lid is fixed on.
Thanks.

You won't be able to fix it with a bonding machine.
I may have access to one, so as soon as I get a replacement for mine, I may have a go :)

I have access to several, but don't know how to get rid of that gel stuff which everything is covered in. :-\

Is it like 'glue-gun' glue? If it is, a gentle heat in the oven will soften it so you can peel it off. :y

No, its like the security potting compound/sealer used in many electronic items.

So,what will dissolve it without damging anything else ? :-\

So do I just lever the lid off??

Run a knife blade around the edge of the cover (you will see a small indent where its been bonded) and work your way round easing it out.
Nothing else holding it on.
Never got round to trying to dissolve the potting compund but its silicon in feel so acetone may work.
