Title: WTD AERIAL

My radio is not that good,I have the aerial base on the cat with nothing screwed into it .so i think i need the small stubby one like in picture.

methinks you'll find that the aerial on the car is NOT for the radio, but for phone/gps ...  The rear screen heater is the radio aerial via an aerial amplifier, which I "think" is under the rear parcel shelf ...

yep it is under parcel shelf seen it when put blind in..cd models dont have gps and phone so why did they put aerial on  :-\

And radio signal dies easy and when i put heated rear window on radio goes even worse. :-\

My  D doesn't have a roof ariel. Dint know some did. :-\

check the heated rear screen element using a magnifying glass .. it is easy to "scratch" it and make a tiny break in one of the elements, this effectively destroys it as an aerial as the effective length is totally wrong. gets worse when the heater is on because that destroys the signal even more. Can sometimes be fixed with careful use of conductive paint
