If it`s a 70/80`s 'old-un' there are a number of classic-car specialist insurers whom are affordable and for whom LHD doesn`t present any problem....I`ve always used such 'classic' insurance for my imported U.S pickup trucks. :y

I echo what Debs said.  Have had 2 yanks and allways got good insurance deals.

Also consider a multicar policy with a dealer if this is your 2nd motor, I just took a policy on for 2 Miggy's and was rather chuffed with the discounts and the deal that panned out..

I asked one of the main stream insurers when i got my 'shed' as a second car. I might as well have asked him to explain quantum physics to me! ;)

;D Thanks for your enquiry to Decline-it and Wriggle-out Insurance Brokers Ltd.:
I have no idea if we can offer a policy with multi-car use, but I do know that Quantum physics is a branch of science that deals with discrete, indivisible units of energy called quanta as described by the Quantum Theory. There are five main ideas represented in Quantum Theory:

   1. Energy is not continuous, but comes in small but discrete units.
   2. The elementary particles behave both like particles and like waves.
   3. The movement of these particles is inherently random.
   4. It is physically impossible to know both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time. The more precisely one is known, the less precise the measurement of the other is.
   5. The atomic world is nothing like the world we live in.

P.S have you considered if we may help you with any extra Life Insurance needs you may have at this time?  ;D

Just remember the 1st car had 100% NCB for it's discount

the 2nd car had 0% NCB and therefore was classed as a policy from scratch.

Hope it helps.

Thanks. So who provide your insurance? IIRC the Omega's is around £400 & although I'm allegedly getting a discount on the shed (1.7TD Astra) that was around £250. Both comprehensive policies. And I'm 46

I paid £286 (monthly. div by 12 payments) starting the policy in December.  But was never happy with renewel in December as I know it was costing more.

Old ploicy was with onequote direct

New policy is Admiral Multicar.

Cancelled the OQD policy just as a monthly premium was due, no admin charges and no probs.

If I cancell on Admiral there is a £45 charge on either car.

Don't think insuring a LHD car is a problem - I had a LHD Granada insured for years for (presumably) the same price as an RHD one.

I think it's the 5.7 bit that may cost you... :)
