Post by: andy feeto on 07 November 2013, 19:34:13
Hi guys. Just recently got an omega 2.2 cd auto. The heater blower is not working. There is heat in the system. Any help is appreciated. Andy

Hi and welcome,

most likely fan or fan controller, both live up behind the glove box. Bit of work to get to them, glovebox out and lie upside down to get to them. Mine failed due to a duff connector on the multi plug but it is normally the fan or controller (referred to as hedgehog here due to its appearance).
Try putting 12v straight across the fan to rule it out.

Check the fuse first. After that, as mentioned, its often the fan speed controller. Very expensive new,but of ten available from people breaking cars on here.....................like me. :y :D
Plenty of info on the site about diagnosing the problem before you start thinking of buying parts though. ;)

As above ^^^^^ - if you have trouble sourcing a "hedgehog", its the same unit on an Astra G ;)
