Sorry MM but I don't understand why leaky leak off pipes would stop it starting.  :-\  Wouldn't they just pee diesel everywhere...  :(

Not so much the pump itself,more likely the control unit on top of pump,took one off a Saab 9-5 tother day and sent if off to ecu testing only for them to say it's beyond help,bugger

 Could be injector pump. One went on a 2.2 I bought and it was scrap after that sadly.
