After not much luck with the ccrt2008 i bought, can i buy a aftermarket radio with sat nav and put it straight in without the hassle of wiring its just the ccr2006 is so boring (suppose to be an elite).
-
**ALL** HUs will require some amount of rewiring, except the CDR2005 which is worse than the CCR2006.
Also note, if you have an Elite, you have Bose, and that wipes out any 3rd party upgrade options - you have said often enough yourself that wiring isn't your strong point, so I wouldn't go down this line.
Factory (and Bose compatible) option with Satnav is NCDC2013/5 (5 has the phone, via a seperate telematics unit), but will need wiring changes.

ok thanks, anyone on hear want to wire a TM loom for me for the ccrt2008 i will compensate any time spent of course

Given that you said the CCR2006 is "boring", what do you expect of CCRT2008? Same shite, just with a (900Mhz, is O2/Voda) phone built in?
I'm a bit confiddled what you are trying to achieve?
-
when i had 1999 omega it had the CCRT2007 which was very good and had the phone there is a ncdc2015 on ebay for £400, also the ccrt700 plugged straight in to my face-lift omega the other day and worked fine,

No.
Actually YES it will fit in a facelift Omega and will work, HOWEVER the front on the Vectra unit is light grey not dark grey.
Display won't work or fit but head unit will

The Light Grey Panel will be the least of your problems.
it will be configured for the Vectra Canbus system, which the Omega isn't, good chance it wont be Bose, you may get a noise out of it, but no Computer Functions and and Driving around with a Sat Nav with no Display would be fun assuming you always wanted directions to the predefined Home Address on the Red Button.

Having done it I can confirm the head units are interchangeable.
Half Can Signum to 2000 W plate facelift Omega - CD played and full sound plus the radio and the steering wheel controls worked, but as the newer CID's don't fit in the Omega dash I didn't bother to go any further.
Isn't Bose just a confirguration setting on the head unit anyway? No actual changes in the head unit as its the amp that does the work?
CD prefix head units will not work without lots of messing as these are used in full CAN cars

NCDC from a Vectra-C (or any other car) is electrically compatible with the Omega one. The screen isn't.
The pairing is a problem. Don't jump into this unless you know what it entails.
£400 :o :o. I'm gonna list my spares on egay, if people are stupid enough to pay that sort of money :o

Non Bose 2013/15 drive the speakers directly, is Bose mode the speaker output is changed to suit the input of the Bose Amp, to change the configuration between each mode (via Tech II) you will need the Audio Pass Code from the Donor Car which people seem to forget about when Buying and Selling on eBay.
Having said all that, I still think the Sat Nav feature on them is a nice upgrade over the standard 2006 HU.
