Title: Heads up re; fuel pump cover plate
Post by: RobG on 11 November 2013, 16:14:34
Having discovered one of the pipes corroded & leaking on the fuel pump cover plate, phoned around and discovered that there are only 3 in the country and all at the Luton factory. Obviously there`s only 2 left now ::) so if anyone wants to check their pipes for possible corrosion I`d advise doing so now.

Not seen this happen for a while, we were advising greasing this area some time ago.

Glad to hear you are sorted Rob  :y

Bit like my saga with the rear brake pad retaining pins for the vented discs..none in the UK and 2 weeks from Germany  >:(

Suppose grease may prolong their life although being a flat surface its easy to see why they rust at the base.Possible a tick coat of Tetraseal  ;)
