Post by: omega3000 on 13 November 2013, 09:05:43
When cashing your car tax in is it refunded to the day/week or month ? Got a disc to cash in but if its refunded by month then i can leave it till the end of the month .

Exactly. :y

If you're one day into a new month then you'll lose the whole of that month.

They don't play fair at the DVLA.

For years I had 'tax in post' scribbled on piece of paper and put in the windscreen.

It's not so easy to get away with that one these days. :(

Did the "tax in post"ruse come before or after people used to use the labels from Guiness bottles? They used to look pretty much like a tax disc at a quick glance!!

Paying for a black and white TV licence when you owned a colour television was another  'economy drive measure' used by the piss poor back in the day.

Sadly, that option no longer exists. :-[
