Adjustable width seats with wider people will pay more than thinner people. I can just picture the advertisement now:
Stansted to many European destinations from £1*
*This is for a 1" wide seat, some passengers may require wider. If you do not select the correct size with your booking there will be a £200 booking adjustment fee plus the additional airfare payable on departure. >:( :o :o :o :o :o
What is there not to like about this if you live in Michael O'Deary's world of extracting every last bit of revenue from your mugs customers. ::) ::) ::) ::)

Mechanically nothing new :y forget which firm makes them but were fitted to GB Airways' entire Airbus fleet :y
Turns 6 abreast seating to five abreast and costs about 3 inches of aisle width :y

On the tube in London recently, I saw a very fat large boned lady get on huffing and puffing. She looked around and there were loads of empty seats. You could see her work out that she would not fit any of them, so she just stood. I have to say that I did feel a bit sorry for her. Seats on the tube are not exactly generous.
