(http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc290/M0RMH/20131116_135127.jpg) so much for the car having a new MOT >:(
-
Might be some recourse to be had for that... but the MoT is only good on the day it's carried out.
Any advisories :-\ how long/how many miles since you bought it :-\
-
Not exactly a fresh break.
-
Which answered none of my questions ::)
The car might have had a fresh Mot when you bought it but if that was a couple of months ago or you've done more than, say, 500 miles, then shit happens...
But if you bought the car on Wednesday last week, and have driven it ten miles home and no further, then you might have a case to argue...
There are good MoT testers and there are bad... sometimes the difference is simply your perspective... :y

Sorry didn't read your post properly, MOTed 7th nov, driven about 30 miles home, think it done 5 miles after MOT, and I have been to work each day about 12 mile round trip, found broken spring when looking for Possible TC fixies last night it probably done 100 to 140 miles since MOT advisory on 2 tyres getting low on tread
-
Springs best replaced in pairs, others can advise where to buy them as there are a couple of preferred choices :y
Not had a busted spring on mine, so can't help with that...
If you paid for the MoT and know the garage, it might be worth chasing a refund, but if the car was tested prior to sale, then the tester will swear blind over his dead granny that it was fine when tested :-\
If a front spring he might genuinely have missed it, not much excuse at the rear though :-\
-
Its a rear spring, tested before I bought it, just going to give it a check over to make sure everything else ok, :y

To be fair, its cheaper for us to find something wrong with the Car than the MOT man, ;)

If the list gets longer go back to the station that issued the ticket and tell them, threaten them with an appeal and I'm sure they will fix your car foc, they won't want Vosa involved :y
