One radio, one for car phone kit?

That's exactly what I had on a new 98 Vectra, one for aerial and one for phone. I had a load of trouble with the folks installing the company mobile stuff, they just wanted to rip apart my new car and install front to back new mobile aerial cable etc. which after much negotiation and discussion and checking with technical etc they hooked up to the factory installed kit and all worked fine. Can't be sure it was the same for the Omega but IIRC 98 was the first time Vx fitted that loom as an optional extra (which my Company did provide/support). Omega from 2001 onwards for me though!

May help?

Sorry, My choice of car was Omega from 01, nothing to do with the aerial loom installation.

Not sure I`ve encountered an Omega with this, and suspect the other lead may be either GSM / Nav or a replacement aerial lead?

However, for information purposes, many modern cars do indeed have two aerials nowadays and two aerial leads for what is known as "Diversity" tuners - basically twin tuners inside the radio so as you are listening to one station, if the other tuner detects the station being broadcast at a stronger signal, it changes -

no different really to the existing AF button on the Omega  ::)

Took the hu out and seems the aerial lead is loose maybe  ::) Going to get a proper aerial adapter and see what happens . For now though at least i have cd's and mp3 compatible  :)
