Title: Better get ready!
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 29 November 2013, 18:10:53
James Madden is upto it again  ;D

James Madden, forecaster for Exacta Weather, said Britain is braced for “copious” snowfall this winter with extreme cold expected to last into the spring.

He added that Britain faces “an incomparable scenario to anything we have experienced in modern times”.

He said: “An exceptionally prolonged period of widespread cold is highly likely to develop throughout this winter and last into next spring.

“It will be accompanied by snow drifts of several feet and long-lasting snow accumulations on a widespread scale.

“This period of snow and cold is likely to result in an incomparable scenario to anything we have experienced in modern times.

“A scenario similar to December 2010 is likely to develop, but on a more prolonged scale in terms of overall duration.”

Didn't he say the same last year  ;D Ok it was a long winter last year, as in being cold, but nowhere as bad as he forecast  ::)

Lidl have got their £20 snow chains in!  ;)

Although they had 4 sizes, 70,80,90, and 100 in stock.  None of them had 225/55/16 as a compatible tyre size...  :-\

My country feeling in my water is that winter will not be as harsh as the last couple...

My feeling is the opposite, I think it will be colder with more snow than last year. The current Arctic cold weather system over the UK seems to be well established and settled and could therefore, like last year, go on for months.  ???

I hope I'm wrong as I hate cold weather, did I tell you I really hate cold weather.  :( :( :( :(  The hotter the better.  :y :y :y :y

Agreed ...  one things for certain .. no amount of talking about what we might get will affect what we actually get ... 38 years of aviation meteorology has taught me a couple of very simple truths ... forecasts are usually correct(ish) within the next 2 hours .. no forecaster will ever  commit to actually using the words "it will" ... they only ever use "it may" ......  :)

Exactly, if it coming bring it on, we will deal with it, one way or another........ :y :y

Funny how if the school bus can not get through how Miss Vamps does not want me to help her and 3 friends get to school using the Jeep, her friends parents think it is a good idea..... :D :D :D

Is Hitler's body still there?.

The Sunday Sport said it was. They even had pictures to prove it. :)

He is too busy typing random letters on a keyboard where he expects to have the complete works of Shakespeare finished in on time.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
