Title: A Garage
Post by: omega3000 on 30 November 2013, 22:04:27
Had the machine mart come through today and was thinking about this :

Instant Garage (http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-cig1216-heavy-duty-instant-garage)

Anyone bought one , any negatives that you may think of . I suggested it to someone but he thinks it wont last long  :-\

Can't see it lasting long if used in all weathers, TBH. OK for occasional use, I suppose.

I wonder how long it takes to put up?  :-\

I went camping in The Lakes with some mates in September and it pissed down, so something like that would have been great!  :y

When i was a boy, we used eaziups for motorsport, take 10 mins to put up,clipsides on, fire up the blow heater, kept all the rain and snow out. Then when cars gone take down chuck in the back of the truck. Or if emergency stage well its romper suite on and get wet and cold.

I had a look at these on ebay the other day and spotted some 'enterprising soul' selling the Clarke instant garages with a 100 note mark up on the Machine Mart prices!  ::)

He'd sold a few too!  ;)

I bought one but not yet put it up. The machine mart people at this years NEC said there own director has one for keeping his TVR in. You can cut the legs down some to lower the height, just as he had, and as I will have to as SWMBO is concerned about it being to higfh above the fence line. Will be keeping the Monza in minwe when I get it back one day from the paintshop :y ;D
