Title: Household Switch Guards
Post by: HolyCount on 01 June 2008, 17:06:00
When the girls were tiddlers ( oh, so long ago) I got hold of some little bits of plastic which fitted over the switch on electrical sockets to prevent them from being switched off / on by little fingers.

I have looked high and low but they don't seem to be being sold anymore -- anybody seen anything like this around ?  Little HC has discovered the mains switch on the TV plug !!!!!!

Try Mothercare for one. Betaware, etc may still do these as well.
They certainly are still available. :y

Thanks Lizzie & Skruntie ----- none of those are what I am looking for  :'(

It's basically a self adhesive clip that fits directly over the switch itself and has to be unclipped to get at the switch

Right!  Sorry Holy Count but I have never seen or used those!

With the power sockets we made  sure they were switchless when our kids were young so never needed that type of device. :y

Better than lounging around in the lingerie section of Debenhams trying to look inconspicuous (How DO you spell that ?) while "someone" takes an hour to try on a dress !!!!!!

Why, oh why do they always put the chenging rooms next to the undies ?????

Trouble is -- no matter how hard you try, you can't help but start "admiring" the "products" ....... one day I am going to ask if they have something in my size ---- never be allowed in there again  :y
