Hi,
Had a brake light bulb go today and wondered is its worth fitting an LED one (SMD one ?). Would obviously do the pair.
Are they any good ? And would be best fitting a white one (given lenses are red !) Or is best getting a red one ?
Are there particular ones to fit or best to us?, or is it a waste of money and just fit standard bulbs ?
Thanks in advance,
Andy.

Standard bulbs are cheaper, and less likely to piss off the check control.

Fair enough :). Trip to local motor factors for a couple of standard ones it is then :y

Decent brand or that`ll piss the check control off as well :)

Cheap enough from Vauxhall :y

Don't bother with them. They often need an additional relay for them to work and the quality I found is cheap.

I tried some cheap ones from eBay and they don't work. They need extra resistance to work otherwise they are very dim. More expensive ones may have the resistance already built in, but it's hard to tell before trying.

I have put LED ice white side light bulbs in mine to match the colour of the HID's and don't have any check control probs did this because the yellowy colour of original pee'd me off when next to the white of the HID's :D

Because sidelights aren't monitored by check control
