Title: Estate - rear seats wont go down
Post by: omega squared on 09 December 2013, 11:04:45
my new estate just arrived and the rear seats seem to be locked in place (up).
both buttons feel like they are already stuck down, wont push down any further and dont spring back up either.

anyone had this and how to fix?

Unlock the split seat one and try and wringle the smaller seat with the end latch pushed fully down.

Try spraying some lubricant around the buttons and leave to "soak" and try again ;)

Had the same problem( Seatbelt jammed in mechanism) behind the seat are 2 square plastic covers lift these and you can unbolt the latches :y

Be warned though, the hinges also have locking latches in them...

thanks for the replies so far will try this later.

on another related question my other V6 estate has one if its seats permanently locked down in the flat position (had something very heavy on top of it).
Is there a catch to release to get the seat back up?

Push the seat down and lift the filler plate up then relift the seat back :y

The roller acts as a latch :y
