Title: Omega power steering pump
Post by: themarklad on 10 December 2013, 21:46:29
Hi all :y

The power steering pump is away on my 2.5 v6 omega and was wondering is there anyway you can get the part number off it without removing the actual pump as I can't leave it in the garage to long as my brother works on different cars daily in it.

Thanks ;D

You don't need part number. If buying from vx then give them your reg number and if buying from factors put in car details  :y

I'm not sure I'd buy a pump from Vauxhall. Not enough vaseline in the world ;D

Even if you had enough Vaseline, can you still buy a new pump fro a 2.5/3.0?  :-\ I thought you had to buy a 2.6/3.2 pump & the associated new pipe work  :-\

Really? That is interesting to know. Are there any other parts they're no longer making?

I'm not sure I'm right ....... only think so  :-\ Just know that the later pumps don't fit earlier cars directly

I'm not buying a new one its just for one of ebay because if you return it they charge a 'restocking fee' >:( They say the part number would be needed? ???

Just put up a wanted ad ........ there's only a choice of two - early 2.5/3.0 pump or the later 2.6/3.2 pump

I'm sure that one of the Omega breakers here will be able to help  :y
