Of you're mobile network ?
I'm with THREE pay as you go and recently I've noticed huge speed increments at home indoors, Roughly 2-3 bars, Download 6-17mbps, Upload 0.54-1.36mbps. Which for me if unheard of, It's roughly 6x faster than my BT broadband :o
I normally get between 1-3mbps download on THREE but past few days it's been good, Wonder why ??? Not that I'm complaining :y

I wish that I was getting these sort of speeds from 3
My internet has been crawling recently, averaging about 500 kbps in the evenings which is useless. After much complaining they admitted that the mast in this area needs upgrading but that won't happen until the new year!!! >:( >:( >:(

4.85 Mbps down
1.82 Mbps up
On O2
-
I'm on EE with an Experia Z,between 20 and 28 megs download speed and 3-4 up :y

Nice :y
I won't mention what device I got, I'm sure the whole world knows anyway ;D
Must be a new mast or something here to be this good surely....

That would be because your S2 doesn't have an LTE (4G) radio.

With minimum 1 bar on 3G
Down 0.96
Up 0.69
With 3 bars on 3G
Down 5.4
Up 1.38
On O2.
I'll let you know with a full signal, probably tomorrow. As no network gets full signal round here.
-
Anywhere from 0.2kbps to 6-7Mb, depending on area. Don't pay that much attention, as beyond pub bragging rights, it makes sod all difference in reality on a handheld device, as long as its "fast enough" (ie, some form of EDGE or 3G).

Was tethering my phone earlier downloaded a 1.2GB file, It completed in 21 minuets usually would take an hour or two on BT for a file that size, May come in handy if it lasts :y

This is my home Internet 3G dongle from Movistar (they bought O2). It is actually pretty good at the moment. School breaks and rush hours it drops to nothing.
By tomorrow I will have used up my 5GB £40 a month allowance and be pegged on 128k down and around 800k up.

All mobile broadband is too slow for me needs. The latency would kill me as well.

I wouldn't say it's reliable enough for daily use with constantly fluctuating signal bars, Just handy for me now and then when a large file needs to be downloaded, Especially now that it seems to be x6 faster than BT...

Using genuine speedtesters (not the OKLA ones, that most ISPs play silly beggers with ::)), I get about 62-65Mb down and 15-17Mb up from my BT line.
My Zen line fairs slightly better than my BT one most of the time.

Stuff the bloody iPhone. You'll never get an accurate result on it directly.
Best way, to stop ISP silly beggers, is to upload a large file somewhere, then download it, with a stopwatch. And from a proper computer, to the stupid phone!
-
Bloody hell 60odd mbps :o :o :o ::) :y :y
I frequently load balance both lines if the download accepts multiple streams, getting 130Mb+.
-
Currently getting 0.26 mbps down and 0.31 mbps up
As measured by OOKLA from 3 on Sony Xperia T and tethering to lappy.
:( :( :(
-
My stupid iPhone won't even run the speedtest.net app, keeps failing on the ping test. Stupid bloody thing.
-
The best i get is around 40MB/S up and around 40MB/S down :y
-
Getting 19.6 down and 9.0 up on my iPhone now, via WiFi.
-
get one of these :y :y :y :y

I find the network install version of the Windows service packs pretty good for "real life" speed testing

THREE Seem to have cut my speed down to around 1.0mbps download and upload 0.05mbps :-X ;D
Must be a tethering cap or something Although i phoned THREE and they have no idea what up. ::)

Are you over your data limit? Video soon kills my data.

Apparently the package I've got says "All you can eat data" :-\
Have been using it to watch Netflix on the TV tethering though...

As I keep banging on, there is no such thing as truely unlimited mobile data. Use too much, you get shaped. You still have a service, so they are not falling foul of their contract, they just artificially nobble it.
Needless to say, they will claim to know nothing about shaping...

Shaping? Is that otherwise known as 'throttling' TB? ??? :-\

Shaping is a more intelligent form of throttling. I don't know if 3 use throttling or shaping, but only up-and-over garage door outfits would use throttling nowadays... ...hence I don't know about 3 ;D
-
Ta! :)
-
It seems THREE have come to life again ::) 20mbps :o
Did a test downloaded a file 1.2gb around 15 minuets. THREE are unpredictable, But when they open the taps they sure do open them ;D

Strange how you're getting a massive download speed there, yet a modest upload speed! :-\

Whats the point? Upload is too low to do anything useful with it :-\

Download is most important to me overall id say, Music, Films, Netflix etc. Aye upload is handy for Photobucket,YouTube etc. Still THREE is faster than my BT 0.30mbps upload :o

Why so slow? Most ADSL2 services should manage nearly 1Mb up under most conditions. You may well find the slow ADSL you have actually gives better throughput, due to more consistent latency, inconsistent latency plays havoc with TCP windows, thus retries and artificial IP throttling (at the endpoints, not due to in-transit shaping).
My BT line can sustain approx 2MB up (so around 20Mbps) :P

It's been in the local news that the area i'm in has bad Broadband speeds, Lot of people in the same boat, Apparently they are doing something to improve speeds here no idea what or when mind, On a good day i'll get around anywhere from 1.5-3.0mbps download and 0.10-0.70mbps upload.
