Yesterday evening I filled in an online form for a 24 hour test drive in a Jaguar of my choice.
This morning a gentleman from Jaguar phoned to ask if I was still interested in a test drive.
"Yes please" I replied
"Any particular preference, Sir"
"Well, I was thinking of an XFR"
"Shouldn't be a problem Sir, just give me a few days to source the latest model.
Santa Claus is real and if I'm not on his naughty list perhaps he will let me keep the car until next Christmas. ;D ;D ;D :y

Terms and conditions
*Available at participating Dealers only on Jaguar XF range. All drivers must have held a valid, current and full licence for more than five years with no more than six penalty points. Insurance on the vehicle is provided for the driver. All persons must satisfy the insurance criteria, provide a driving licence and sign a separate insurance agreement. In the event of an accident, the driver is responsible for any excess charges on all claims which will be detailed in the policy document that both the driver and Dealer team member are required to sign. The driver’s credit/debit card account number is given to the Dealer for the purpose of allowing payment to the Dealer of any fines or charges mentioned in these terms and conditions, including the cost of any fuel needed to refill the vehicle upon collection. Extended test drives are subject to availability. Not all derivatives or engines will be available for test drive. If the driver’s model of choice is not available, the driver will be offered an alternative. Dealers reserve the right to prevent participants from taking part in an extended test drive if they believe that the participant is not fit to drive. Participants should hold a current UK driving licence, both parts of which must be presented during registration. The extended test drive period is for up to 24 hours from the time of vehicle collection. Vehicles may be collected Monday to Friday only. Extended test drives require longer to arrange. Customers must give at least a week’s prior notice. Customers will be required to collect and return from the Dealer between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date and time which will be within working hours. If the vehicle is not returned at the agreed time the Dealer reserves the right to charge the driver £100 for late delivery. If necessary, this will be deducted from the driver’s credit/debit card account. The customer will be required to sign a handover document for receipt of the vehicle. This will detail the fuel level and note any defects in the condition. Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as noted on the delivery sheet. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, there will be a charge applied for the amount of fuel used plus an administration fee of £15. The mileage allowance for the extended test drive is 200 miles. Any excess will be charged at 10p plus VAT per mile. Any damage incurred shall be the responsibility of the driver, and the Dealer reserves the right to charge for any such damage, by means of a deduction from the driver’s credit/debit card account. Extended test drive vehicles cannot be taken abroad. Any property carried or left in the vehicle is at the driver’s own risk. Drivers must ensure that any personal belongings are removed from the vehicle at the end of the loan, as the Dealer will not be held liable for any loss or damage. No accessories or parts are to be removed from or affixed to the vehicle. The driver will be responsible for payment of any congestion charges and fixed penalty fines incurred during the extended test drive. The Dealer reserves the right to decline or withdraw/terminate the extended test drive and its use at any time without prior notice.

Not hire, but 24 hour test drive. :)
Hopefully before Christmas.........but your guess is as good as mine.
I suppose it depends on how easy it is to get hold of one.
