Post by: omega3000 on 19 December 2013, 20:34:35
Does it have a seal/gasket/o'ring  ??? Or do you just use a blob of sealant  :)

Crank sensor is working ok mate , just suspect its leaking so o ring could be knackered  :-\ Not had a chance to look yet but drip drip on the drive is from that area . Either that or the oil filter not sealing  ::)

I have an o ring set so will see if i got one to fit , guess the o ring doesn't have to be genuine
 ???

Does have to be nitrile, or equivalent, as oil not good with a "standard" o-ring ;)

Nitrile, viton, mbr anything will do it. Even genuine don't last for ever. As you've discovered, they harden up.

I've just done a job on A corsa b with a fuel leak, the injector o ring where it fits into the rail had gone all icky and was passing fuel.
