Interesting comment from the Oxfam person!
My question for her is "why are you flying premium economy" in the first place?
Shouldn't you be flying economy on the basis that you are a charity and the money should be going to charitable work rather than flight upgrades >:(

Whata mistaka to make!!! ;D ;D ;D :y

Also quite retarded, obviously first class is nearer the door ::) sounds a bit selfish to be working for a charity tbh :-\

Premium economy often comes as a flexible ticket, so you can change dates easier.
Bog standard cattle class tickets always fixed.

Believe it or not .. it "nearly" happens many, many times ... and when it does .. you "usually" get away without actually hitting something ....hopefully !!
Airport signposting/taxiway lighting/air traffic instructions in odd accents ... all are often not "quite right" and if under pressure mistakes happen.......
Been there, got the T shirt .. and that was on a 5 man crew where the "load" was spread a tad more, and more eyes to "look out" ... modern 2-man flight deck ... not surprised to be honest ... very embarrassing for all concerned .. and the captain is in for a right rollocking, and probably demotion plus a few check rides .. :(

Doesn't only happen to airline pilots ....

He might just get away with it if the airfield data in the flight manual is out of date or incomplete :-\
Wouldn't be the first ever plane to come a cropper from making a wrong turn on the ground... fortunately they were only taxiing :-\

I understand that now after recently watching a documentary on the Tenerife air disaster of 1977 when 600+ died when two 747's collided as one was attempting a take off and the other was looking for the correct taxi way off the runway, with confusion in heavy fog, an impatient Senior Captain and a foreign accent air controller who they couldn't understand. Now that IS when things go horribly wrong! :'( :'(

Sounds like they were going round on a wing and a prayer to me! :o :)
