Worth getting the codes read  :y

But to start:

1) Is it loosing coolant?
2) Have you tried running it with MAF unplugged? (MAF = Mass Air Flow Sensor), it's near the air-filter  :)

not losing coolant had codes checked and tested in garage for cat all ok car ran for about 8 miles starting and stopping no problems then cut out on way home and would not run , left until next day and started fine and drove home no problem, checked codes again and codes that came up were not present, left for 30 mins and back to same problem,30 mins later started fine and ran like a watch

But what were the codes?

And have you tried running it without MAF connected?
