It always seems to me that 4ltrs is a bit of a nothing size as as most larger cars need 5ltrs at least, don,t know
about smaller cars as i haven,t had one for donkeys years. ???

Just had a look at 5w 30 deal online :y
Tempted to do an Oil change soon to the 5W 30 as it was recommended to me to use in the mig by VX
( improves fuel and engine efficiency ? :-\ )

Having failed to reserve in store in Basingscrote, I was passing anyway today, and popped in as it didn't seem to be too busy. The place was overrun with cheap oil, so got 4 and another 4 still reserved at another store should I fancy them. :D
-
Just bought 20 litres of 5W30 loads at my Halfords (Spalding)
-

Somewhere lurking in the depths of my mind is the thought that before you can change to fully synthetic oil from mineral you need to do something - flush the engine out, maybe?
Does anyone know what I'm talking about, because I don't!
Ron.

Used it in my 2.6 for the last 2 years didn't do anything before using it, never had to top up in between so seems ok to me.

Nope.
Some coolants need flushing through when changing to long life.

Just bought 2x4l cans of 10w40 semi synth from my local Helfrods, £5.99 each ;D obviously priced wrong on the bar code, but if anyone is near Horsham, fill your boots :y
Might actually pick up some more tomorrow...
