It's an Elite, very early facelifts were registered as MV6 on the log book.
The memory seats, blind ect alloys all show Elite :)
Looking at pictures, temp looks low, does it rise fully to around 85?

Depends how low you run it, but don't be surprised if it's easily £80+
-
£93 smackers @£1.29L from empty, once ran my 2.6 down to saying only 20 miles worth of fuel left but still could only get £78 worth in to brim
-
ha ha ha Worth every penny for the sound alone!
-
Agree, the V6 does sound good when you give it a bit of welly !!
-
lpg it.40 quid to fill mine and then still a good 200+ miles depending how i drive with a 60ltr tank in back
-
Filled up my 2.6 today from pretty much empty and she took £85 to fill up, just to give you an idea ;)

Why would you spend money on gas converting a bargain basement 'classic'? Surely the car would have dissolved before the conversion broke even ??? ???
-
Kin ell Andy B that's a bit harsh.

What is? ???
You've bought a nice car for a decent price, but how much longer is a 13/14 yr old car going to live? Long enough for a £few hundred gas conversion to pay for itself? :-\ ;)
-
I am hoping to get a couple of years out of it if alls well, I wouldn't have gone for the gas as its not going to be be drove enough but thanks for your input Andy B.

Before LPG'ing it, I used to have trouble with the £99 cut-off at Asda petrol pumps...

Try Tesco then ;) From low fuel light to full on my Merc is usually over £100 ???

Yeah, my tractor was a killer when diesel was high, as £99 at Asda nowhere near filled the bugger. I avoid Tesco in Bletchley, chavtastic retards everywhere. Tesco in Brakkers is normally 6 or 7p more than Asda in MK.

Interesting thought .. but relatively easy to actually do the sums ... The difference between "projected" petrol costs and "actual" LPG costs, over 53000 miles (5 years) is 10pence/mile (petrol 25 p/mile, lpg 15 p/mile) ... so, once you know the conversion costs, and your average mileage, it is easy to work out the breakeven point.
My - professional - install was £2300 .. so took 23000 miles and 2 years to pay for itself .. so I've already had 3 years and 30000 miles of "profit"
A forum DIY costs around £700 .. so it depend show long it takes you to do 7000 miles ..... obviously ...
You pays your money and makes your choice ... the car "could" go bang or be in an accident well before the breakeven point ... or it could last many years past it ... who knows the future ??
