Cheers Grant

I looked into this when I bought a 4x4, there is a section dedicated to it on Landyzone.co.uk that has good info.
I decided against it when I realised that my nice shiney range rover may get scratched or even worse it would get dirty! :)

If the roads in Leeds get much worse, I'll be green laning everywhere :(
Or get out the mountain bike again :y

Used to be until I gave it up in 1980. Last bike was a Maico 250. It needed a lot of maintenance!
I can green lane here in the daily ride 4x4 but carefully.

Use to green lane many years ago , had a bultaco and a yamaha dt 250 :) We had what we called the pits , an old run down mill that had a lot of hills and obstacles to get round . Great fun and fell off no end ::) Once went through a hedge by mistake but never hurt ;D Local police use to stop us as we wheeled the bikes along the streets but they were only checking they had not been nicked and let us on our way as long as we never rode the bike till we got to the Fields :y

green laneing is what 40 somthings do to help them de-stress from there jobs,of rushing from power point to sales confrence to arrange the meeting, in there audi's (a4) or (bmw 316),
they then go out at weekends on there ktm big boy extension, or driving a disco with jacked up suspension and a winch big enough for an 80tonne recovery wagon, bolted to the front, they then go raceing off down bridal ways and un adopted roads, then stop at a pub and shout about how good they are,. :D

I use a old ktm 250 2stroke that's still a better bike then I am rider has a left hand side kick start that's a pig would like a off/onroad bike with a electric start when funds allow.

Still got a YZ250 but haven't ridden it much lately. It still goes like the clappers after a recent complete rebuild (frame and engine) but I prefer riding it around a field/road now as opposed to getting caked in shite. :)
