Hello,
I wonder if we can recharge the battery while it's still connected in the car? :-\ If we did so, would the battery charger burn anything such as ECU or another electronics? ???
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year... :y

Yes you can. There's one connected to my Omega as we speak. ;) Your charger is only going to be 3A maybe up to about 6A ..... the rest of the electrics are going to be OK
Merry Christmas :y :y

Thanks Andy... :y
I will give it a try.. :y

Yep as Andy says....perfectly ok to do this....normally these days as the charger charges the battery up the out put from the charger decreases... :y :y

:y. I put mine on charge every other week as only use her once a week with no issues. Direct on battery will not fry anything as current drawn will be direct into the battery from its terminals and not flow through other wiring. Voltage would be kept to sensible level by battery when charging.
I am still on the original Vaux Battery as had car from new 14 years ago ::)

Wow, i thought that the seven years i got from the battery on my old Mig was good, but 14 is exceptional. But i did
use it most days. :y

Famous last words, she will probably fail now !
I'll pop her on charge now, but will have to take blanket off her as all tucked up cosy in the garage :)
Can't let the old girl catch a cold now outside ::)

I've usually got >10yrs from original battery. In fact, I think the only cars I've ever replaced battery on are an old Nova and the MV6...
